As a result of powerful winds, thunderstorms and heavy rain, the Auckland region is experiencing widespread power outages caused by falling trees or downed power lines. This is expected to continue until approximately midday today (Monday 21 March).
 
Vector crews are working as quickly as possible to restore power. Please be patient if you are experiencing an outage and for your safety stay well away from downed lines and call 111 if you see any.

If you have lost power, the fastest way to report it to us and follow restoration progress is through our Outage Centre at vector.co.nz/outages – we strongly encourage you to create an account, so that you will be able to track an outage and sign up for notifications when they become available.
