Nexos

Creating a clearer and faster path to large grid connections

New Zealand is moving rapidly towards an electric future. Demand for electricity is growing rapidly as large businesses and industries look to switch to cleaner, electric solutions. Realising that future depends on one essential factor: access to the national grid.

Nexos unlocks the grid's potential by combing deep engineering expertise, trusted partnerships and strong procurement capability with a customer focused and commercially flexible approach, making grid connections faster and simpler.

What we do

Faster, simpler grid connections

As electricity demand rises across New Zealand, generators are investing in new supply and EDBs are expanding local distribution networks. This growth is increasing demand for access to Transpower’s national transmission grid, which could constrain new the pace of connections. Without greater connection capability, delays may slow investment and limit New Zealand’s growth.

Nexos combines leading New Zealand grid access engineers with established industry partnerships to deliver faster, cost-effective grid connection infrastructure across the motu. We design, build, own and operate GXPs (Grid Exit Points) and GIPs (Grid Injection Points), enabling customers to connect sooner to the grid and plan with greater long-term certainty.

We help customers connect sooner, offer more flexible commercial terms, and enable the infrastructure needed for New Zealand’s future.

As part of Vector Group, we operate as a competitive business with a strong focus on customers, commercial flexibility and on-time delivery.

The people behind Nexos

Nexos brings together deep expertise in electricity infrastructure, engineering and project delivery, united in a commitment to advancing New Zealand's energy future.
