Project File

Vector is undertaking a cable replacement project to reinforce the power supply in Snells Beach to ensure our customers continue to receive a secure power supply.

Streets affected by this work include: Tamatea Drive, Snells Beach Road, Kauri Crescent, Sunrise Boulevard, Woodlands Avenue, Fidelis Avenue, Gerontius Lane, Mariners Grove, Mera Road, Willjames Avenue

Project timing:23 November – 17 December 2010 and February - April 2011

The project work will be carried out in sections throughout the area and should only directly affect the road frontage outside each property for a small amount of this time.

Hours of work:Our hours of work will be Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm

Project details:
The work will be carried out predominantly using trenchless methods, but in some places we may need to dig trenches. In the unlikely event that these will affect any driveways, we will consult with affected customers before we begin work and will ensure that access to their driveway is maintained while the works are underway.

To ensure a smooth flow of traffic, full traffic management plans have been developed and will be used throughout the duration of the project. In most cases, the directional flow of both traffic lanes will be maintained. The work sites have been designed so that pedestrians will still be able to pass by the works.

The power supply in the area should not be affected by work. In the unlikely event that a planned power outage is required, affected customers will be notified in advance of this occurring.

We apologise, in advance, for any inconvenience this project may cause and thank you for your patience and cooperation while the work is underway.
