Project dates: 17 September - 29 October 2009
Project details: Vector is carrying out a cable installation project around Schnapper Rock Road in Albany. We are carrying out the work to reinforce the security and reliability of the electricity network.
How will the work be carried out? The work will be carried out predominantly using trenchless methods, but in some places we may need to dig trenches. In the unlikely event that these will affect any driveways, we will consult with affected customers before we begin work and will ensure that access to these driveways is maintained while the works are underway.
The power supply in the area should not be interrupted. if power outage is required, affected customers will be notified at least 5 days in advance of this occurring.
To ensure a smooth flow of traffic, full traffic management plans have been developed and will be used throughout the duration of the project. In most cases, the directional flow of both lanes will be maintained.
The work sites have been designed so that pedestrians will still be able to pass by the works. This includes the new shared cycleway/footpath through Aberley Reserve.
Hours of work: Our hours of work will be Monday to Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm
Streets affected: Pin Oak Drive, Aberley Road, Newbury Place
Thank you for your cooperation. Every effort will be made to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this project may cause and thank you for your patience and cooperation while this work is underway.
