Vector is undertaking an electricity cable upgrade project in the area to improve the quality and reliability of the power supply to Middlemore Hospital.

Project timing: June 2012– October 2012

Hours of work
The hours of work along Buckland Road will be from 9am-3pm.

How is the work carried out?
The work will be carried out predominantly by using trenchless methods; however we may have to open trench along Hospital Road as necessary.

The work will take place in small sections along the route to minimise disruption. However to accelerate the project, we may have to work at multiple locations.

Streets affected by this work include: Raglan Street, Buckland Road, Milton Road, Gray Ave and Hospital Road

Will the power supply be affected?
No, the power supply in the area should not be affected by work. In the unlikely event that a planned power outage is required, affected customers will be notified in advance of this occurring.

Will the work affect my driveway?
In the event that these will affect any driveways, we will consult with affected customers before we begin work and will ensure that access is maintained while the works are underway.

Traffic and pedestrian management
Full traffic management plans have been developed and will be used throughout the project work. The work sites have been designed so that pedestrians will still be able to pass by the works.
