Vector is undertaking a cable relocation project requested by NZTA as part of the footbridge relocation over the motorway.
Project timing: 12 October – 30 November 2011
Hours of work
The hours of work will generally be 7.30pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday. The project schedule allows for the fastest possible completion and minimum level of disruption under noise and safety restrictions for the type of work that is taking place.
How is the work carried out?
The work will be carried out predominantly by open trenching. The road will not be blocked throughout the works and the directional flow of both traffic lanes will be maintained.

Will the power supply be affected?
No, the power supply in the area should not be affected by work. In the unlikely event that a planned power outage is required, affected customers will be notified in advance of this occurring.
Traffic and pedestrian management
Full traffic management plans have been developed and will be used throughout the project work. The work sites have been designed so that pedestrians will still be able to pass by the works.
