Vector is undertaking an electricity cable upgrade project to reinforce the power supply in the Henderson Valley Road to ensure our customers continue to receive a secure power supply.

Hours of work

The hours of work will generally be Monday to Saturday, 7.30am to 4pm. The project schedule allows for the fastest possible completion and minimum level of disruption under noise and safety restrictions for the type of work that is taking place.

How is the work carried out?

We will be installing electricity ducts and cable within the berm, using trenchless methods. 

Streets affected by this work include: This work will take place along Keeling Road and Henderson Valley close to the

intersection with Keeling Road.

Will the power supply be affected?

No, the power supply in the area should not be affected by work. In the unlikely event that a planned power outage is required, affected customers will be notified in advance of this occurring.

Will the work affect my driveway?

In the unlikely event that these will affect any driveways, we will consult with affected customers before we begin work and will ensure that access is maintained while the works are underway.

Traffic and pedestrian management

Full traffic management plans have been developed and will be used throughout the project work. The work sites have been designed so that pedestrians will still be able to pass by the works.
