Project File

Vector is undertaking an electricity cable upgrade project to reinforce the power supply in the Greenmount area to ensure our customers continue to receive a secure power supply.

Project timing: early Sep to mid October 2011

Hours of work

The hours of work will generally be normal working hours, Monday to Saturday. The project schedule allows for the fastest possible completion and minimum level of disruption under noise and safety restrictions for the type of work that is taking place.

How is the work carried out?

The work will be carried out predominantly by open trenching. The road will not be blocked throughout the works and the directional flow of both traffic lanes will be maintained.

Streets affected by this work include: Small parts of Harris Road and Cryers Road

Will the power supply be affected?

No, the power supply in the area should not be affected by work. In the unlikely event that a planned power outage is required, affected customers will be notified in advance of this occurring.

Will the work affect my driveway?

In the event that these will affect any driveways, we will consult with affected customers before we begin work and will ensure that access is maintained while the works are underway.

Traffic and pedestrian management

Full traffic management plans have been developed and will be used throughout the project work. The work sites have been designed so that pedestrians will still be able to pass by the works.

We apologise, in advance, for any inconvenience this project may cause and thank you for your patience and cooperation while the work is underway.
