Glenfield Road asset relocation project

Start Date:
27 Feb 2012

Auckland Transport is carrying out significant improvements to Glenfield Road in order to improve traffic flow and the safety of the road users in the area. As part of this project, Vector is required to relocate electricity, gas and fibre networks.

Project timing: 27 February 2012 – 19 March 2013

How is the work carried out?
The work will be carried out predominantly by drilling and open trenching in the road/berm in sections, installation of ducts, and backfill and road widening/reinstatement. Cable will be installed through ducts once each section is complete.

Streets affected by this work include: Glenfield Road and James Street

Will the power or gas supply be affected?
No, the power and gas supply in the area should not be affected by work. In the unlikely event that a planned outage is required, affected customers will be notified in advance of this occurring.

Will the work affect my driveway?
In the event that these will affect any driveways, we will consult with affected customers before we begin work and will ensure that access is maintained while the works are underway.

Traffic and pedestrian management
Full traffic management plans have been developed and will be used throughout the project work. The work sites have been designed so that pedestrians will still be able to pass by the works.

We apologise, in advance, for any inconvenience this project may cause and thank you for your patience and cooperation while the work is underway.
