Project File
Vector is undertaking a supply upgrade project to reinforce the power supply in the Auckland Art Gallery.
Streets affected by this work include: Wellesley Street, from Lorne to Kitchener Streets
Project timing: 27 March – 11 April 2010
This work will be undertaken by open trenching within the road carriageway. We will reduce disruption as much as possible by keeping construction works contained and using small focused work areas.
Hours of work
Our crews are working 7am to 10pm, and are only working weekends and public holidays to limit disruption to business and commuters. Our work hours are inline with Council permitted work hours for the area.
Project details:
New electricity cables will be installed in the roadway from the intersection of Wellesley and Lorne Streets to the intersection of Wellesley and Kitchener Streets.
In the event that there will be any impact on an access way or driveway, we will consult with affected residents and businesses before we begin work and will ensure that access is maintained while the works are underway.
To ensure a smooth flow of traffic, full traffic management plans have been developed and will be used throughout the duration of the project. The work sites have been designed so that pedestrians will still be able to pass by the works.
The power supply in the area should not be affected by work. In the unlikely event that a planned power outage is required, affected customers will be notified in advance of this occurring.
We are working closely with the council to limit disruption to residents, while also endeavouring to complete works as quickly as possible.
We apologise, in advance, for any inconvenience this project may cause and thank you for your patience and cooperation while the work is underway.
