The eastern areas of Vector’s network are expected to be the most affected including Wellsford, Warkworth, East Coast Bays, Whangaparaoa, Clevedon Coast, and Waiheke, although other areas could also be affected.

Stormy weather can have a significant impact on the network with trees and falling debris getting into the lines causing outages.

“People tend to do more DIY projects over the holiday period when the weather is ideal for getting out and working around the house. Also with the current economic environment people may opt to do the work themselves rather than get an expert in,” says David Worsnop, Vector Group GM Service Delivery.
