Vector provides the infrastructure for more than one million New Zealanders’ energy needs. It is our responsibility to consider new energy management solutions for our customers seeking out the best in international trends and evaluating them for our market.  We see significant opportunities in renewable distributed generation to ensure a sustainable energy supply into the future.  

As part of this strategy we are currently investigating a number of initiatives which will contribute to that sustainable future.  These range from testing new renewable and energy management technologies for the home and businesses, many of which are being delivered through Vector’s involvement in new developments. In addition Vector has been highly active in the development of strategic partnerships with global companies with complementary expertise and interests, to funding research on carbon sequestration.
